Frequently asked questions

What is ESET PROTECT Hub?

The central gateway to ESET's unified security platform, providing a single-pane-of-glass experience with centralized identity, subscription, and user management.

Does ESET PROTECT Hub replace other subscription management platforms?

ESET PROTECT Hub is the replacement for the current portals - ESET Business Account and ESET MSP Administrator. It brings all the features that channel partners, MSPs and business users already know and puts them into one single place.

Can a current user of ESET Business Account or ESET MSP Administrator use ESET PROTECT Hub in parallel?

No, users cannot have both an ESET Business Account or ESET MSP Administrator registered with the same email address as ESET PROTECT Hub. After the transition to ESET PROTECT Hub, access to ESET Business Account and ESET MSP Administrator will be restricted.

How long will ESET Business Account be supported?

ESET Business Account will be available for existing business customers until transition in your country. Afterwards, ESET Business Account WILL continue to be used only in countries that were not upgraded yet. After the last country is upgraded to ESET PROTECT Hub, ESET Business Account will reach its end of life.

How long will ESET MSP Administrator be supported?

ESET MSP Administrator will be available for MSPs until transition in your country. Afterwards, ESET MSP Administrator WILL continue to be used only in countries that were not upgraded yet. After the last country is upgraded to ESET PROTECT Hub, ESET MSP Administrator will reach its end of life.

Does the launch of ESET PROTECT Hub bring new product features?

Yes, with the launch of ESET PROTECT Hub customers with either a standalone ESET Secure Authentication subscription or an ESET PROTECT Elite subscription will be able to provision cloud ESET Secure Authentication. This is a cloud-native, scalable, multi-tenant version of our ESET Secure Authentication backend.

What's different about the cloud version of ESET Secure Authentication?

ESET Secure Authentication users can now use it as a cloud-based SaaS delivered solution, without the need for their own hardware and save their resources for HW maintenance and upgrades.

Which customers are eligible for cloud ESET Secure Authentication?

Cloud ESET Secure Authentication is available globally for any new or existing customer with either a standalone ESET Secure Authentication subscription or an ESET PROTECT Elite subscription who is registered to ESET PROTECT Hub.

Can existing customers use the cloud version of ESET Secure Authentication if their country was not upgraded to ESET PROTECT Hub?

We recommend waiting for the transition wave as ESET PROTECT Hub is a pre-requisite for using the cloud version of ESET Secure Authentication. However, existing customers of ESET Secure Authentication or ESET PROTECT Elite can self-migrate to ESET PROTECT Hub to activate the cloud version of ESET Secure Authentication.

How does ESET PROTECT Hub streamline my business operations and save time?

ESET PROTECT Hub allows you to monitor your customers' subscriptions, check their deployment status and real-time utilization and much more. This means you can identify opportunities for them to improve their security posture and offer proactive services. On top of that, ESET Protect Hub will support you in different partner-customer management types. You can fully or partially manage your customers or they can be fully self-sufficient. This can be changed later, based on different needs.
