The two most recent tests from AV-Comparatives show that ESET’s security suites have the lowest impact on both system and network performance.
The first test results showed that ESET products for Windows achieved the top score in the Performance Test of consumer security solutions. ESET Smart Security ranked at the top of AV-Comparatives’ Performance Test, as well as in the Industry Standard test. Its impact score was considerably lower than the average impact score among all products in the test. The highest impact score, and therefore the greatest impact on performance, was attributed to Microsoft Windows Defender.
The efficiency of ESET’s endpoint technologies was also confirmed in another test by AV-Comparatives. Their Network Performance Test showed that among six tested business security solutions, ESET Endpoint Security is the least hungry for network resources. ESET Endpoint Security generated only 58 MB of traffic, while the average value among all tested solutions was 780 MB. The size of ESET’s client-side definitions was 75 MB, while the average in the test was 220 MB.
