Women in Cybersecurity Scholarship
Empowering women with the funds to help them achieve their dream career.
Supporting and empowering women in their pursuit of a career in cybersecurity is a key part of ESET’s global ESG strategy.
Since 2016, we have been awarding scholarships to females in the United States who are pursuing studies in cybersecurity or related fields. The ‘Women in Cybersecurity Scholarship’ program has expanded to running in North America, Canada and Australia.
Following on from this success, we are proud to be launching our first European cybersecurity scholarship in the UK.

Lorraine is a first-year student studying cyber security and digital forensics at Bournemouth University.
Having been introduced to coding by a relative at a very young age, Lorraine’s interest in technology continued into school where she studied computer science and IT and also took part in several hackathon competitions.
In her free time, she enjoys playing online coding competitions, website development and keeping up with the newest approaches to making the internet a safer place.
With a strong desire to learn more about the ever-evolving world of digital security. Lorraine is looking forward to learning from industry experts, developing her skills and gaining practical experience in detecting and reducing cyber risks.
“Thanks to the ESET studentship, I am able to get equipment and software that will improve my educational experience as well as funding for certifications, conferences, workshops and networking opportunities in the cybersecurity industry, all of which may lead to future employment prospects.”
