Award-winning global leader in digital security, ESET, is delighted to announce that it will continue as a Community Sports Trust partner of AFC Bournemouth for the 2022/23 season.
ESET has spent over three decades developing security solutions to keep millions of people safe online worldwide. As part of its mission to empower people to embrace the potential of technological progress without fear of security compromise, ESET recognises the importance of helping the next generation be safer online and spreading awareness around these issues in the local community.
In line with their branding, Progress.Protected., its partnership with AFC Bournemouth offers a valuable contribution to supporting children’s digital well-being. Last year, 79 sessions were delivered to local schools with very positive feedback from pupils.
ESET’s CSR initiative Safer Kids Online is an educational content platform that targets schools, parents, and kids to “encourage young people’s engagement in their online safety education as we ebb towards an increasingly digital future.” It provides free information and learning materials, from educational handouts to informative animated videos covering important online safety-related issues. As well as being an Executive Partner of AFC Business, which sees its staff regularly attend events at Vitality Stadium and stay connected within the local community, ESET will now be a new Regional Partner of the club. As part of this, ESET will support the club’s women’s team across the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons, helping aid the growth of women’s football following the summer’s Euro success. ESET will also assist in providing digital matchday content for the men’s first team and sponsoring matchday streams for non-first team fixtures played at Vitality Stadium.
Following the partnership, the club’s Commercial Director, Rob Mitchell, said, “We’re delighted to have ESET on board again for the following two seasons. They do some great work out in the community, and we really can see the benefits of their knowledge being passed on… We’re thrilled to have them sponsoring our matchday stats, which we now post on social media for fans to enjoy. We’re grateful to ESET for their continual support of the Safer Kids Online project, which is important in educating young people on internet safety.”
ESET UK’s Managing Director, Malcolm Tuck, said, “With our UK headquarters in Bournemouth town centre, we feel a huge part of the local community, and we get tremendous satisfaction putting our specialist cybersecurity knowledge to use by helping keep children safe online.”
