The internet was abuzz just over a month ago with the news that niche dating website Ashley Madison was subject to a breach.
The Impact Team claimed responsibility and threatened the release of 37m users personal and potentially financial information unless the site was shut down.
Avid Life Media, the company which own AM, did not comply and the data was subsequently released. Read more here.
Dating website users haven’t been having a great time of it lately. Plenty of Fish is the latest to suffer and this time it’s a malvertising campaign targeting users’ financial accounts.
The campaign is noted as being particularly dangerous due to the low level of user interaction required to fall victim.
