ICSA Labs, an independent division of Verizon Business, announced that it has certified 5 vendors in detection and cleaning following its first round of of security software designed for the MS Windows 7. ICSA Labs found that ESET products comply with its requirements for how well a products detects malware.
To achieve the ICSA Labs Anti-Virus Certification, products must meet all criteria for detection of malware in PCs and servers. Product must demonstrate it has the capability to detect, identify and prevent self-replicating malware while reporting no false positives. The products also must be able to log the results of malware-detection attempts.

ESET has submitted ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4 64-bit version for the testing. The core of the engine is also used in ESET Smart Security 4 as well as 32-bit version of both products.
