ESET Commute.Protected. Our Global Effort Saved Over 10,000 kg of CO2!
At ESET, we believe that every individual can make a significant contribution towards protecting our planet. Throughout June 2024, our community across the globe prioritized an eco-friendlier mode of transport for our daily commute. We walked, we biked, we skate-boarded and travelled via public transport, and shared photos and videos of our journeys.
Here are some numbers:
- 247 participants
- 5 countries (with ESET offices)
- 4,160 journeys registered
- 25,667 km walked and biked
- 22,818 km via public transport
- 10,328 kg of CO2 saved (one adult tree absorbs an average of 10 kg of CO2 per year)
All in all, we walked and biked a distance equal to the one between our offices in San Diego, HQ in Bratislava and offices in Melbourne. By doing this, we saved the amount of CO2 that 1033 adult trees absorb in one year.
