“Juraj Malcho has been Chief Technology Officer at ESET since 2016. As ESET’s Chief Technology Officer, Juraj has played a crucial role in the company’s technological advancements and strategic direction. Juraj joined ESET in 2004 as a Virus Researcher responsible for threat detection and research and also served as the Chief Research Officer and Chief of the Virus Lab. Juraj has more than 20 years of experience in the cybersecurity industry and is recognized as an expert in the field of reverse engineering. He has been invited to present to audiences at NATO and continues to be active and present at high-profile cybersecurity conferences like AVAR, VB Conference, and CARO.”

“Roman Kováč has been ESET’s Chief Research Officer since 2018. Previously he worked at ESET as Head of Security Research Laboratory and started at the company as malware analyst back in 2009. Roman has more than 15 years of experience in the cybersecurity industry. Currently he is leader of the Core Research and Threat Detection subdivision, which has – among other notable achievements – uncovered how the world’s first malware-induced blackouts took place, unearthed the first UEFI rootkit found in the wild, exposed the activities of various APT groups, and discovered the origin of NotPetya – one of most damaging cyberattack in history.”

“When I joined ESET I didn’t really know what I wanted to do. And the truth is, I still don’t :). My career path has been very fluid, influenced by my motivation to explore new areas, by the support of my colleagues and superiors, and of course by luck – being at the right place at the right time. I started as a data analyst, working with numbers, excels and databases, built my own team over time and learned basics of leadership and management. I got even more experience when I got to be a director of the whole Business Intelligence team. Then life brought me another opportunity, and I applied for the VP role that I have now, where I can develop myself and the whole Consumer segment."
