In a Tech Brief titled, "Chip and PIN migration and fraud mitigation: An uneasy balance?" magstripe/signature is compared to chip and to PIN in regards to fraud. Also addressed is the idea that signatures are not a fading ideal. The U.S.has proposed conditions for the use of these multiple options.
