The Shark Summer program at Birch Aquarium at Scripps offers shark activities for all ages, field excursions, and exclusive interactions with leading shark researchers. Shark Summer also features three Science, Exploration & Adventure SEA Days that offer the opportunity to interact with local sharks and the scientists studying them.

“We are proud to collaborate with Birch Aquarium, support its research programs and help provide the local community and visitors to San Diego with a rich learning experience,” said Andrew Lee, CEO, ESET NA. “Shark Summer perfectly complements GoExplore.net’s mission to encourage people to safely explore both the physical and online worlds around them and make new and exciting discoveries.”

ESET will be supporting the work of Andy Nosal, Ph.D., marine biologist at Scripps Institution of Oceanography and DeLaCour Postdoctoral Fellow in Ecology & Conservation at Birch Aquarium at Scripps, and producing a video about Nosal’s leopard shark research. The resulting video will be shown at Birch Aquarium and featured onGoExplore.net. Additionally, GoExplore.net will be sponsoring ongoing shark education events throughout the summer.

“As a local business leader, ESET is a welcome collaborator to support Scripps Oceanography and Birch Aquarium‘s public education programs that help us offer visitors a unique oppportunity to deeply engage with and learn about our ocean’s wildlife,” said Margaret Leinen, Ph.D., vice chancellor for marine sciences and director of Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
