When the COVID-19 pandemic started, we made a promise that we will continue to provide the best possible security for you. Despite the impact these uncertain times had - and still have - on the lives of everyone around the world, we continue to live up to that promise.

Since the start of the pandemic, we have delivered new solutions to the market for both consumers and businesses. The new version of our cloud-management console, ESET Protect, is now available to protect even larger enterprises. Including enhanced security recognized as Outstanding by the renowned AV-Comparatives, and new functionality that makes it easier for our customers to manage the security of their local and remote employees and networks.

We’ve dedicated time and effort to understand the impact of COVID-19 on cybercriminals’ practices and how to protect you better. As usual, we published advanced as well as specific research about the effects of COVID-19 on the habits and practices of individuals and businesses on our WeLiveSecurity.com portal. We have also started a quarterly threat report that provides valuable insight into how malware and other threats have evolved during the pandemic.

Through the ESET Foundation, we supported and funded various initiatives related to the pandemic, like the research and development of COVID-19 diagnostic kits now used in different parts of the world.

Besides all of the above, we’ve been growing as a business, increasing the number of our employees, keeping them safe from the pandemic to the best of our abilities, and even supporting them during their recovery if they were diagnosed with COVID-19.

ESET relies on the geographic distribution of our employees and utilization of all available means to work remotely in case of office closures for health and safety reasons.

Will my services be impacted?

ESET uses a business impact-based approach to designing measures and response plans that help us to ensure continuity of our business processes and supporting staff, workplaces, technologies and critical services. We build our services to be resilient enough to remain available with limited or no maintenance.

However, some processes and services, like technical support, need active support from our staff. ESET relies on geographic distribution of our employees and utilization of all available means to work remotely in case of office closures for health and safety reasons. All our services are fully available to our customers to date, and we are committed to meeting service level agreements set for these services.

Will my cloud services be impacted?

We do not expect any unavailability of our cloud services due to COVID-19. ESET maintains a business continuity management program that is reviewed and updated continuously. ESET uses a business impact-based approach to designing measures and response plans that help us to ensure continuity of our business processes and supporting staff, workplaces, technologies and critical services. We build ESET Cloud Administrator, ESET Dynamic Threat Defense and other cloud services infrastructure on top of industry-leading cloud vendors providing sufficient capacity and service scalability.

Therefore, our cloud services are resilient enough to remain available with limited or no maintenance. ESET relies on geographic distribution of our employees and utilization of all available means to work remotely in case of office closure for health and safety reasons. All our services are fully available to our customers to date, and we are committed to meeting service level agreements set for these services.
